Mavericks Season Review
2025 was a succesful season for Mavericks, as the team went deep into the post season having finished as runners up to Kent Bucs in the regular season, and were the only team to split their series with the Bucs. A comfortable first round win over Sheffield, saw the Mavericks progress to a semi-final match up against the Cardiff Merlins, held at Hemel. Despite a good start with a 3 run inning in the top of the first, the Mavericks were unable to sustain it, and eventaully fell to a strong Cardiff team, who took a deserved win.
With exams and univesity commitments depriving the team of most of their pitching for the season, the team relied on Jack Burdett and Ben Stobart to eat up most of the innings until later in the season when Oliver Wong and Kimi Hope returned…… in progress
